This is a test of the Posterous blogging app on my Android phone. I noticed the previous post had a pretty low quality image and I know the original picture was better than that. I think it was just a setting on the blogging app. Lets see if this works better.

Samsung Galaxy tab 7 plus

It’s a nice little tablet. Good size for reading the kindle app. Not as heavy as an iPad. Overall it’s a nice little tablet but a little laggy and I don’t really like honeycomb. I guess if cyanogen offered support for this little gadget it would be a lot nicer.

This cygnati case was pretty nice until you needed to press a button. It was so difficult to get to every button on the ipad2 that I had to take it back. Maybe it was my sausage fingers I don’t know. But I need to get in there.

New android market

I got the new version of the android market working on my galaxy tab. It seems pretty smooth. I had it working on my nexus one running cyanogen 6.1, but when I upgraded to 6.1.1 the market reverted to the older version.

Twitter for Android updated with whole bunch of improvements

Android’s official Twitter client — Twitter for Android — just got itself a nice big update to version 1.0.5. We’ve got a slew of bugfixes and improvements. Here’s what’s on tap:

Promoted tweets in search. Searching for a topic will return promoted tweets if there are any.

Speed improvement for Timeline/lists. Scrolling Tweets is lot smoother now.

About, Privacy & Terms added to Settings. Go to Home -> Settings -> About to see what version of Twitter for Android you are running.

Quote/Retweet confirmation dialog. The user has the option to either Retweet, Quote, or cancel when tapping on the retweet icon.

Cleaner timeline

Tweet details. Tap a tweet to view its details.

Tweet actions in search results (retweet, favorite, share, reply)

Pull-to-refresh. From the top of a list, pull down and release to refresh the list.

Swipe to reveal. From your timeline, fling a Tweet left or right to reveal actions underneath.

Inline maps. Open a tweet with a geolocation to view a map inline with its content.

Search results now contain top tweets

Page break. If you haven’t refreshed in a while, you may see a page break in your timeline. Tap the page break to load tweets.
